What is RAMP Training?

RAMP is the LCB’s “Responsible Alcohol Management Program” designed to train and certify owners, managers and servers of alcoholic beverages in Pennsylvania in proper alcohol sale and service procedures. These include such things as proper identification checks, detecting fake or fraudulent I.D. documents, identifying signs of intoxication, and responsibly managing patrons of licensed establishments.

LCB licensees must be “RAMP certified”. The owner/manager and all servers/sellers must successfully complete RAMP training with approved instructors. New hires must undergo orientation training. The procedures are detailed and mandatory – make sure that your licensed facility is RAMP compliant at all times!
