I have been writing these columns for a couple of years — and enjoying every moment of it. Even more do I appreciate the response I have received from so many people.
Perhaps at this point we could make this interactive by your suggesting a topic in which you have an interest involving our glorious language. I hardly consider myself the final authority, but I have accumulated a number of books on grammar and the use of English generally and may be able to help in the resolution of an issue that perplexes you.
