Groups of Animals

Full disclosure:  This article contains nothing about the law (except perhaps the law of the jungle).  Once in a while I see a topic that is just plain fun, and feel compelled to share it.

So what do you call a group of geese?  A “gaggle”.  (You knew that.)  A group of dogs?  A “pack”.  Here is a list of various animal species along with their “group” name.  Some are plainly outrageous!

Group Name Covey Array Party Pride Labor Romp Parliament Rookery Coterie Crash Drift Surfeit Dray Ambush Bale Gang

So what happens when a “business” of ferrets encounters a “congress” of ravens?  (Hint – when business meets congress a lobbyist usually takes over) . . . perhaps a “lobby” of leopards?  Only kidding.
