At this time, the RAMP Owner/Manager Training can be completed online (self-led) or by participating in a virtual training session facilitated by the PLCB. Our new virtual training option is conducted live via Microsoft Teams and is comparable to our classroom training by providing an enhanced learning experience that allows participants to interact, ask questions and get answers from their instructor and colleagues.
Participation in virtual training sessions require the use of a camera and microphone-equipped device. For those concerned with their degree of ‘tech savvy,’ we’ll conduct a brief technical testing the day before each virtual session that will allow you to make sure you can connect your device and use the features. Hopefully this will eliminate any anxiety about attending a virtual training.
Newly approved managers of certain license types are required to complete Owner/Manager training within 180 days of approval of appointment by the PLCB, unless the appointed manager has successfully completed training within two years prior to being appointed a manager.
